  • May 15, 2006: WormBase service interruption
    The primary WormBase site (www.wormbase.org) will be OFFLINE 16 May 2006 beginning at approximately 6PM and lasting to midnight (GMT -5) to accomodate infrastructure improvements at Cold Spring Harbor. We apologize for any incovenience this disruption may cause. During this time, you may wish to try one of the WormBase mirror sites (imbb | sanger).
  • May 08, 2006: New release of WormBase: WS157
    WormBase has been updated to the WS157 release of the database. New in this release are updated links to the Reactome project, 8 new microarray data sets, and updated SGD and FlyBase data.
  • May 02, 2006: New additions at WormBook
    WormBook has added two new chapters this month, Sex determination in the germ line and RNA-binding proteins. WormMethods also has two new additions, Reverse genetics and Transformation and microinjection.   • April 21, 2006: New release of WormBase: WS156
    WormBase has been updated to the WS156 release of the database. New in this release are Treefam phylogenetic trees displayed on Gene Pages for many genes. These images are provided directly by the Treefam project.
  • April 13, 2006: Neuroscience meeting abstract deadline, May 1st
    May 1st is the abstract submission deadline for the first neuroscience topic meeting on "Neuronal Development, Synaptic Function, and Behavior", to be held July 9-12, 2006 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. See the meeting website for additional details.
  • March 29, 2006: WormBook introduces new chapters and a new look
    WormBook has added two new contributions to WormMethods: Biochemistry and molecular biology and Genetic mapping and manipulation. Please visit WormBook to read these and other chapters. WormBook has also recently updated the look of wormbook.org. The newly-available search feature and improved layout are designed to help our readers navigate through WormBook more efficiently.   • March 26, 2006: New release of WormBase: WS155
    WormBase has been updated to the WS155 version of the database. New in this release are updated UniProt databases used for the precomputed BLAST results, and corrections to C. elegans to C. briggsae WABA nucleotide-level alignments due to sequence corrections.
